Art makes your interior more personal. More intimate. No matter how trendy you decorate your home, without that personal touch your house will not feel like yóur home. But where can you find a work of art that matches your taste, your interior and your budget? Artist and designer Manon followed her curiosity and founded Kunsttof. With her gift to empathize with someone else’s taste and her great sense of proportions and color, she creates statement pieces for your wall. One of a kind eye-catchers that tell your story and that is made in limited editions.

A sleek interior needs a warm counterpart. That is why all Kunsttof works are made of … textile! In other words: high-end upholstery fabric. I use the cut-offs from furniture manufacturers that are just too small for them to use but still brand new and absolutely stunning. At first glance the art is graphic and abstract, but there is softness in them, warmth. Stretching the textile makes the lines come to life.
Yes, I do have a soft spot for simple shapes and contrast. Simplicity with depth. The tactility and texture of the fabric is in beautiful balance with the graphic lines of the artwork. In addition, the textile panels improve the acoustics, making the room cozier and warmer. By the way, did I mention that I really love large works of art anyway? And: the larger a work, the greater the effect on the acoustics. Reason enough to think big!

What do I prefer to do? Create personalized works of art. That tells your story. In a personal conversation I will find out what is very close to you. What you cherish. That could be a memory, a place, your children, your great love. I then shape this in an abstract way into a unique design. I create for you an artwork that is as personal as a photo, but not as shiny and ‘present’. A work of art that is unique and stands alone, but that also blends into the space in terms of color, size and design.
